The Herbstmesse in Dornbirn is a fixed date for me every year. This year, I’m particularly excited because beyond the classic exhibition halls, the outdoor area also has a lot of new things to offer. From product trends to the best party vibes in the evening: here is my personal bucket list for Herbstmesse 2026.
First, Browsing & Exploring: Lifestyle and New Trends
First, Browsing & Exploring:
I like to start my fair day relaxed with a discovery tour through the halls. A must for me are the new products in the Living and Lifestyle section, where there’s plenty of inspiration to discover. After that, I leisurely move on to the Arts and Crafts area to admire handmade unique pieces.
After a walk through the halls, it’s off to the outdoor area or the other program points in the Messequartier. Whether in the Mohrenbräu beer tent, at the fairground, in the beach bar, or along the snack mile: Herbstmesse offers plenty of opportunities to linger both indoors and outdoors.
Time to Snack: Food Truck Heaven and Classics

Walking around the fair makes you hungry, and the culinary offerings at Herbstmesse are varied.
My friends and I prefer to head to the food trucks. Everyone can get exactly what they’re craving, and we enjoy eating together outdoors in a relaxed atmosphere. For dessert, a classic like a bag of roasted almonds or chocolate-covered fruits is a must.
From 6 p.m.: The Perfect Transition at the Beach Bar and Fairground

From 6 p.m., when the sun slowly sets, a ride on the Ferris wheel is highly recommended – the view over the grounds and the sunset is beautiful.
Right next door is my absolute favorite spot of this year’s fair: the new beach bar. Relax barefoot in the deck chairs with a refreshing drink from the cocktail bars while local up-and-coming DJs spin the right tunes. For me, this is the perfect setting to chat, enjoy the evening sun, and look forward to the evening program.

The Night Belongs to Live Concerts and the Oktoberfäscht
When the beach bar closes at 8 p.m., the party really gets going.
This year, I’m looking forward to an amazing live program: on Thursday, I’ll start with a holiday vibe at the Italian tribute show Adriano Celentano. On Friday, it continues directly with the modern Beats & Brass by the Blechzipfln and Muckasäck. But my absolute highlight is Saturday with the Tracht’n Vibes at the Oktoberfäscht. The beer is cold, the music loud, and the atmosphere phenomenal every year.
For me, Herbstmesse 2026 is the perfect mix of new trends, meeting up with friends, good food, and a legendary party. See you at the bar!
